Have you ever wondered if the hype around Free People Movement is real? Are their pieces worth the price tag compared to the countless dupes on the market? As a dedicated Free People Movement fan, I’m here to set the record straight. In this post, I’ll highlight three must-have items that will elevate your athleisure wardrobe and leave you wondering why you ever settled for less.
1. Hot Shot Onsie
My first buy. My favorite buy.
With over 10+ color options, that change from summer to fall colors. This is also an easy transitional piece. You can style with a tank top in the summer or a fitted long sleeve in the fall! If you are worried about diaper butt, size down from your normal size. Could care less about the diaper but, want something amazingly comfy, go with your normal size!
For reference, before my first pregnancy I was a true medium, and I ordered a medium. It was oversized but so so comfy. I was able to wear it my full pregnancy and I gained around 75lbs.
So, if you are not pregnant or not planning to be, I would size down one or if you are pregnant stick with your normal size!
2. Happiness Runs Tank
Let’s chat about the Happiness Runs Crop Tank! I tried a few Amazon versions of this and they were okay but nothing compares to the original. The Free People version has over 20 colors and is very versatile!
You can wear this tank to a workout, to run errands with sweatpants, under your Hot Shot onsie, and honestly you can double them up and use as your bra!
For sizing reference,I have kept with my true size from pre-pre pregnancy with a M/L. I do not dry when I wash and between the 4 – I have they have all held up amazing! And I got my first tank in 2021!
If you can’t tell, I am a huge fan of the Hot Shot Collection! As Free People says, the Hot Shot collection was made for running errands, meditation, and taking it easy. It’s breathable, light weight, and super soft! It’s the best!
But back to the Reversible Set – the shirt is oversized and reversible! One side is a crew neck and the other is v-neck. The best part about sets are they can be worn with or without eachother!
If it’s colder out, pair the oversized tee with leggings and some booties or in the summer switch out the biker shorts for a pair of athletic shorts or denim!
Now with sizing, I do recommend to try this on in stores or to order two different sizes! The shirt is meant to be oversized but what you may need to try on is the bottoms!
For sizing reference, I got this when I was early pregnant so I am not for sure what my normal sizing would be. But I ordered a large and was able to wear the bottoms till 20 weeks pregnant and the top my full pregnancy!
