Welcome to your Dream Girl Era—the phase where you step into the life you’ve always envisioned for yourself. If you’ve been following me, you already know this is one of my favorite topics. But today, I want to go beyond just talking about it—I want to help you step into your own Dream Girl Era and start designing your ideal life.

This isn’t just about aesthetic goals or trendy habits; it’s about becoming the version of yourself that you’ve always dreamed of—whether that’s in one year, five years, or even ten years from now.

Let’s break it down step by step so you can start living as your future self right now.

What Is the Dream Girl Era?

At its core, your Dream Girl Era is simply your ideal life. It’s the version of yourself that embodies everything you desire, from lifestyle to mindset, career, relationships, and even daily habits.

For me, my dream life is about four to seven years away, and I first heard about this concept from Cassie Skroggins, who does an amazing job helping women visualize their ideal future. She introduced me to an activity that changed everything for me.

The Dream Life Visualization Exercise

Here’s what you do:

  1. Find a quiet space where you can focus.
  2. Turn on relaxing music—something that gets you into a calm, imaginative state.
  3. Close your eyes and imagine your life in the future. Where are you? What are you doing? What do you see?
  4. Write down everything that comes to mind—no matter how small or unrealistic it may seem.

You might envision yourself:
✅ Living in a beautiful home near the beach
✅ Working only 20 hours a week but making six figures
✅ Being a mom to two kids and balancing work-life effortlessly
✅ Driving your dream car (maybe a black Chevy SUV?)
✅ Traveling the world while being financially secure

It doesn’t matter how crazy it sounds—this is your vision.

How to Start Living as Your Future Self

Once you have your vision, the next step is to bridge the gap between your current self and your future self.

1. Ask Yourself: What Would My Future Self Do?

I learned this from Grace & Mary on the “Life You Love” podcast, and it was a game-changer for me. Instead of thinking about where you are now, shift your mindset to where you want to be.

For example:
➡️ If my future self is financially free, my current self needs to pay off debt aggressively.
➡️ If my future self wears minimal, high-quality jewelry, I should start by proving to myself that I’ll actually wear simple jewelry daily before investing in expensive pieces.
➡️ If my future self prioritizes work-life balance, my current self needs to learn how to say no to projects that drain my energy.

Everything becomes a conscious choice. The actions you take today will determine the reality you step into.

2. Create a “Dream Self” List

Once you have clarity on your future self, it’s time to create a Dream Self List—a roadmap of everything your future self has, does, and embodies.

Here’s an example of what’s on my list:
✔️ Owns timeless, high-quality jewelry instead of cheap, trendy pieces
✔️ Works out at 10 AM because she controls her schedule
✔️ Runs a business but only works 20 hours a week
✔️ Is completely debt-free and financially secure
✔️ Invests in quality over quantity in every aspect of life

Now, take your own Dream Self List and break it down into actionable steps.

For example:
👉 If your future self is financially free, start by setting a debt payoff plan.
👉 If your future self wears minimalist fashion, start by curating a capsule wardrobe.
👉 If your future self runs a successful business, start building your brand today—even if it’s just an Instagram page or a side hustle.

Every small decision compounds into your dream reality.

3. Get Hyper-Specific About Your Goals

Your Dream Girl Era isn’t about vague affirmations—it’s about clarity. The more specific you are, the more tangible your goals become.

For example, instead of saying:
🚫 “I want a nice car.”

Say:
✅ “I want to drive a brand-new black Chevy SUV.”

Instead of saying:
🚫 “I want to be successful.”

Say:
✅ “I want to run a six-figure online business while only working 20 hours a week.”

When you’re crystal clear, you can start making daily choices that align with that vision.

4. Use Pinterest as a Vision Guide

If you’re struggling to visualize your dream life, Pinterest is your best friend.

Go down a rabbit hole of aesthetic inspirations, dream homes, fashion, travel, and lifestyle choices. Pay attention to what attracts you the most—because that’s what your future self is craving.

5. Prioritize Rest and Balance

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that your Dream Girl Era is not about overworking yourself to exhaustion.

Yes, there will be seasons of hustle, but there should also be seasons of rest. Your future self wouldn’t stay up until 4 AM working on side projects every night—so why should you?

balanced, abundant life includes:

  • Setting boundaries with work
  • Prioritizing mental and physical health
  • Getting enough sleep to actually function at your highest level

If you’re constantly drained, you won’t be able to show up as your best self.

Final Thoughts: Start Living Your Dream Girl Era NOW

Your Dream Girl Era isn’t something that happens one day—it starts the moment you decide to step into it.

  • Close your eyes and visualize your dream life.
  • Make a list of what your future self does, has, and values.
  • Break down those goals into actionable steps.
  • Align your daily choices with your future self’s mindset.
  • Embrace rest, balance, and intentional living.

And most importantly—don’t be afraid to dream BIG.

If your vision sounds unrealistic, that’s exactly the point. Manifestation starts with belief, and belief starts with clarity.

So tell me—what’s one thing you see in your future Dream Girl Era? Drop it in the comments, and let’s start building that dream life together. 💫✨
