Are you struggling with credit card debt? Or constantly feel like you are behind even when you just had your best month yet? Or maybe you are scared that a car breakdown, a medical bill, or something crazy happens that sets you back and just feels like it crushes your finance goals?
Same. Same. Same. Been there. Felt that. So that is why I have set a goal to be financially smarter this year. To learn more about money this year. To make more money this year. And so much more.
In my previous blog, 2025 Goals + Vision Board, I talk about that goal to be financially smarter, and I plan to track that by making $4K in side hustle income.
The goal with the extra side hustle income is to put down on our current debt as extra payments, or to help fund our emergency fund or other saving goals.
If you break it down, to make $4k in side hustle income in a year, that is roughly $333 a month.
Honestly thats not to shabby, and I think I can do it with a little hard work and maybe only a few late nights!
8 POSSIBLE SIDE HUSTLE INCOMES
Today, I want to share my possible sources of side hustle income.
- Banners
Honestly, this will be 80% of the side hustle income. I currently offer hand painted banners for birthday, anniversaries, and any events. I average between 6 – 12 banners a month which is anywhere from $220 – $600, depending on sizes ordered and not counting expenses. I want to grow this side hustle in 2025, like get photos done for it, give them their own instagram, and start trying to work with local businesses to spread the word.
I would love to make the full $4,000 goal from banners and everything below be a cherry on top, but my realistic goal is to make $3,000.
I truly love painting and being creative so this is one of my favorites. But, I am trading time for money – so I knew I wanted to try some areas for passive income which is why we have the following!
- Like To Know It
I set up a LTK last July. And since then, I have made $13 and have 12 followers. So no, this is not successful. I honestly haven’t even been able to cash out yet, so I have made $0. LOL.
But this year, I want to learn more about how to grow on LTK, share more links to items, and utilize this app because I know there is a potential here!
I would love to make $250 from LiketoKnowIt in 2025. This is big steep goal, but I believe it is possible.
- Clothes + Notepads
This is an easy one, but I will not make much from and I will run out of things to sell eventually. I sent a large bag of clothes and shoes to a retail store to hopefully sell and make a few extra bucks. I also have over 30 notepads from my stationery store, that I need to sell or do something with, because that is money going to waste.
The big goal with these, is that when I make money by selling clothes or my notepads, I put it to debt, and don’t be like “oh i have free money now, i can go and buy a new outfit.” No, Savannah, we are being financially smart this year!
My goal is to make $100 from selling clothes + old notepads.
- Ads on my Blogs
I know ads can be annoying on blogs, and be in the way. But, when you take a deeper look, ads are a way that creators can make some extra dollars, without the reader or looker, having to buy anything. So, yes you will eventually start seeing ads on my site, as I am hoping to get approved within the next few month! This is a great source of passive income – if I can get viewers on my site.
So to get viewers, I will need to be working on bringing more people to my site, so I will start diving into Pinterest this year! More to come!
My goal is to make $50 from Ads on my blog in 2025.
- Digital Downloads (Etsy or In Bio)
I have several digital notepads, notion templates, and budget sheets that I have created but have been to scared to put out on the internet. My goal is to share these on Etsy, as well on my Leap link in bio!
Digital Downloads are a great way for passive income, becuase once the product is created and uploaded, the work is 90% done! So the fact that I have all these created, I need to be uploading them and promoting them!!
My goal is to make $250 from Digital Downloads in 2025.
- UGC Deals
UGC stands for User Generated Content. It’s a fast growing revenue for several creators. UGC is where you work with brands and create content for them, that you don’t have to share on your accounts. You create the content, they pay you, and then they have all the rights to the content. This is a revenue, I am hoping to explore more in the second half of the year!
I honestly am not for sure the rate these deals are going for – so right now my goal is to book 2 UGC deals in 2025.
- Collabs
Collbs are similar to UGC deals, but they are posted to your account. I would love to collab with a few brands this year either on my blog or on my socials. I was able to work with Gameday Couture last year, and was gifted items. WHICH WAS INCREDIBLE! But this year, the goal is to get at least 1 paid collab!
- POD
The last possible area for revenue that I want to explore in 2025 is with POD. POD stands for Print on Demand. You essentially create designs, and market, but a POD company will make and ship the product for you. The bonuses are a low start up cost and not holding inventory. A possible con is that your margin may not be as large as expected.
I took a mini course over POD last year and have started a shop, but have not listed any products. This is another project that will probably be towards the end of the year, but definitely something I would love to explore.
I have a goal to make 5 sales in my POD shop.
I am tracking all of this in my Notion Board.

SMALL GOALS
As you can tell, several of these revenue streams, I have set smaller goals for. That is because it takes time to build a revenue source, and I want to do it right. I would love to build on these revenue sources and have them by revenues for years to come!
CONCLUSION
This is your reminder, that there are several ways to make money today, if you search for it! That is my goal this year – to explore those ways, and to become financially smarter.
And don’t worry, I will provide monthly updates on the revenues I worked on that month, anything I learned, and of course let you know how much closer we are to hitting that goal!
